It certainly has been a long time since I've even thought about blogging. It's likely that I'm going to be posting weekly, in an effort to start a good habit, as well as just get my thoughts out there to those of you that so kindly grace this place.
To start off...the last two years have been....crazy. Nuts. Chaotic. I've definitely learned alot about myself, and quite a bit others that are closer to me. Suffice it to say, we have all pulled through whats happened with mostly better outlooks on life. Now for the positive! Most of you know by this point that I am engaged to a woman who is pretty much my other half. I love her more than words can say! I have also made new friends and strengthened other relationships.
For now, this post ends, but I will be posting again, and far more frequently. They will likely include a lot of gaming related things, as that is what I do with alot of my free time. but there will be some substance in there, promise.
Until next time, you lovely people

Onward...to counting!
Well this is late, but as most of you know, I've been working with WIS, which is a company that does inventory. Its been odd trying to get used to the schedule, but having work at all is a major blessing. I want to send out a thank you to my friend Laura for pointing me in the direction of this job, as she is my coworker and friend. Much obliged! Other than that really, there has been a lot of D&D/WoD (World of Darkness) on weekends. Makes them so much more entertaining. I'm currently participating in two pathfinder campaigns and a Shadowrun campaign, all of them great fun. In other news, August is just next month...which means PAX. Huzzah! I'm looking forward to seeing what strange and awesome things occur.
The last month or two has been eventful, but luckily everything has turned out for the better. so far at least. August will be a month of fun and excitement, as well as bringing up my other half for a few weeks! There will be another post soon...one consisting more of my own thoughts rather than news, but tonight, I am tired and cannot think all too straight. I will, however, point you in the direction of some awesome music a friend highly recommended to me: http://thejonnydeath.newgrounds.com/ This man does some amazing metal covers of various video game titles and they are all stellar. Give them a listen!
That's the end of the updates for the time being...but stay tuned, posts will be a little more frequent, as I feel the need to keep this up to date!

Eyes on the horizon
Well, its been an eventful past few months, but things are starting to look up! At least, that's the outlook I'm going to keep for now. Still no luck on the search for work, but have become quite a bit closer to my family, which was much needed. Just have to keep my eyes forward. I'm not one for being negative either, so I don't think I'll start now! Before I forget...the biggest highlight was definitely December...the annual visit from my darling for three weeks. Always makes me happy ^^
So far, January was pretty uneventful in terms of big life events, February is looking to liven things up a little, I hope. More fiercely looking for work as well as some volunteer opportunities. Also trying to be a bit more up to date on current events. Hasn't helped me in the past to be ignorant in such matters and it's definitely time for a change in that department.
Well, this post is a bit rough around the edges but I'll leave it as is, for now!

My newest addiction...Terraria! oh...and updates on life I suppose
Well now...as the title says...I was gifted the game "Terraria" over steam recently and well..It's taken what was left of my soul for a while now. Its a dungeon crawler mostly...with some building elements added to it! Very fun. Have also been playing Dungeon Fighter Online. Good fun for beating things up! Other than that...not much to update. Still job hunting..not going well. Please wish me luck! Other than that....still holding on to that wonderful girl ^^
Longer post to come!

Woo!
I figured I'd say hello again, seeing as its been a while since I last updated! Today is going to be about the few new games I've been playing recently. Amnesia, Champions Online and Magicka, all of which are quite fun!
First of all, Champions Online is a super hero MMORPG. Not that I've played many of them, but its by far one of my favorites. A good assortment of costume choices and abilities, plus its free! although it does have an Item mall for which you can buy and use tokens to purchase new powers, costume pieces or random vanity items. One of my main hang ups with the game is the amount of time it takes to level. This could just be me and my slight case of ADD but it does take a while to level past 20. Combat is faced paced enough to keep things interesting too!
Now for Amnesia! I heard about this from one of my lovely aussie friends, who said "If I wanted true horror, not just gore and boo tactics, this is the game to get it from". From what i was able to gather from the first 20 minutes of it...he was right! This game immerses you fully into its lifelike 3D environment while making use of the headphones for amazing sound distribution. The game warns you in the beginning that you are "completely vulnerable". You have absolutely no way of defending yourself. The point of this wonderfully creepy game is to follow the story line to find out what happened to Daniel, the main character, who woke up in a desolate castle with no memory of what happened or how he got there. It's best played while in a dark room, with your headphones on and with the intent to see and live the story of Daniel, not just "win".
Magicka, on the other hand, is quite the bundle of fun! It's a multi-player co-op, versus adventure game in which you take the role of a young wizard setting off to save the land. A land riddled with puns and terribly corny jokes! As you make your way through, you find various fun and powerful spells. This game is just meant to have fun and as TotalBiscuit the CynicalBrit from youtube puts it, its the "Mage Suicide Simulator". This is true in every sense of the word. You are encouraged to experiment with the many elements at your disposal to create various different effects, some of which are extremely bad for your own health. It's a very forward, simple game with the intent to appease your violent and destructive tendencies!
Well, thats it for now and a shout out my girlfriend and our new friend Ven, who is quite the guy, the awesome aussie that he is!

My Sanctum
I haven't oft done this...but I took time to completely clear my mind tonight and just relax...no thoughts, no worries..no cares. I was able to take a small journey through the recesses of my mind, finding that one place where I can relax to the fullest extent.
This led me to a hilltop over looking a clearing that was ripe with long, green, wispy blades of grass which were surrounded by a thriving forest. The sky was slightly darkened with rain clouds, occasional traces of lightning flitting its way across the surface of the sky. Raindrops fell quietly to the plain and upon my beleaguered body, the sun just clever enough to thrust several lone sunshafts upon the grass. This gave the plain a pale golden hue, one that soothes the mind.
This...this is where I want to be one day. I want to actually find such a scene. I figured I'd share it with you all. May your lives be prosperous and your mind ever sharp.
