My newest addiction...Terraria! oh...and updates on life I suppose
Well now...as the title says...I was gifted the game "Terraria" over steam recently and well..It's taken what was left of my soul for a while now. Its a dungeon crawler mostly...with some building elements added to it! Very fun. Have also been playing Dungeon Fighter Online. Good fun for beating things up! Other than that...not much to update. Still job hunting..not going well. Please wish me luck! Other than that....still holding on to that wonderful girl ^^

Woo!
I figured I'd say hello again, seeing as its been a while since I last updated! Today is going to be about the few new games I've been playing recently. Amnesia, Champions Online and Magicka, all of which are quite fun!
First of all, Champions Online is a super hero MMORPG. Not that I've played many of them, but its by far one of my favorites. A good assortment of costume choices and abilities, plus its free! although it does have an Item mall for which you can buy and use tokens to purchase new powers, costume pieces or random vanity items. One of my main hang ups with the game is the amount of time it takes to level. This could just be me and my slight case of ADD but it does take a while to level past 20. Combat is faced paced enough to keep things interesting too!
Now for Amnesia! I heard about this from one of my lovely aussie friends, who said "If I wanted true horror, not just gore and boo tactics, this is the game to get it from". From what i was able to gather from the first 20 minutes of it...he was right! This game immerses you fully into its lifelike 3D environment while making use of the headphones for amazing sound distribution. The game warns you in the beginning that you are "completely vulnerable". You have absolutely no way of defending yourself. The point of this wonderfully creepy game is to follow the story line to find out what happened to Daniel, the main character, who woke up in a desolate castle with no memory of what happened or how he got there. It's best played while in a dark room, with your headphones on and with the intent to see and live the story of Daniel, not just "win".
Magicka, on the other hand, is quite the bundle of fun! It's a multi-player co-op, versus adventure game in which you take the role of a young wizard setting off to save the land. A land riddled with puns and terribly corny jokes! As you make your way through, you find various fun and powerful spells. This game is just meant to have fun and as TotalBiscuit the CynicalBrit from youtube puts it, its the "Mage Suicide Simulator". This is true in every sense of the word. You are encouraged to experiment with the many elements at your disposal to create various different effects, some of which are extremely bad for your own health. It's a very forward, simple game with the intent to appease your violent and destructive tendencies!
Well, thats it for now and a shout out my girlfriend and our new friend Ven, who is quite the guy, the awesome aussie that he is!
Until next time,

My Sanctum
I haven't oft done this...but I took time to completely clear my mind tonight and just relax...no thoughts, no worries..no cares. I was able to take a small journey through the recesses of my mind, finding that one place where I can relax to the fullest extent.
This led me to a hilltop over looking a clearing that was ripe with long, green, wispy blades of grass which were surrounded by a thriving forest. The sky was slightly darkened with rain clouds, occasional traces of lightning flitting its way across the surface of the sky. Raindrops fell quietly to the plain and upon my beleaguered body, the sun just clever enough to thrust several lone sunshafts upon the grass. This gave the plain a pale golden hue, one that soothes the mind.
This...this is where I want to be one day. I want to actually find such a scene. I figured I'd share it with you all. May your lives be prosperous and your mind ever sharp.

More on the trip to California!
Well since I'm not so tired this time around, I thought I'd share more details about the trip! It was relatively cheap, which was good for both of us. We spent alot of time just cuddling and watching some of our favorite shows, whilst she also introduced me to a few of her favorites. She also introduced me to "Repo: The Genetic Opera" which was extremely gory...but rather fun! As I mentioned previously, we took a tour of the Jelly Belly Factory which was informative and quite enjoyable! At one point in time, her father decided to give me a tour of one of the Sea Scout ships that he and Becca had both been a part of running at one point.
Other than that, we went out to catch the sights of the town and one of our treks led us into Old Sacramento, which is kind of small but is a thriving little tourist trap. We moseyed around for a few hours, checking out all the shops we could before we got too tired. There was a shop selling sharp objects...I wanted to stay...and buy them all :P One of more interesting places we stopped at was a little toy shop, whose name escapes me at the moment, but it had a giant train set. It was awesome! The end of our little tour down there was a stop at a quaint little pizzeria/buffet. Needless to say I was darn near rolling out of there.
The rest of the trip was spent walking, talking and getting to know Becca's parents even better. Even played a few games of cribbage, which I am not entirely too good at but...it was good together time. I'd go back down there in a heartbeat...Just having her near is enough to make me content.
Well...thats it for now. Until Next time!

Christmas/New years
First of all, I want to say a belated Merry Christmas/Happy New Year to all of you! I spent my christmas down in california with the girlfriend. Had a fantastic time too! Jelly Belly factory tour + free samples = win!
Other than that I got to know her mother and father, both very kind people. Her mother knit me a blanket, which made me feel welcome and not so awkward. Her dad had a talk with me about plans for the future and such and he's alright with me, which made me feel way better about things.
Now onto the future! Right now, I am still job searching and taking classes at CCC, hoping that this economy picks up soon. Being jobless doesn't exactly make one feel like they're at the top of the world. I plan on sticking with Becca for a very, very long time and I'll need someway to support her so here's to fruitful classes and job hunting!
Well, thats all for now...I couldn't sleep so I wanted to update you all on what was going on. Until next time!
